What We Offer

With increasing urbanization in the Gulf region, the demand for road infrastructure has risen. The AASHTO certified geogrid pavement optimization system we offer is an alternative to the conventional pavement system and has proven to be an economical solution that helps overcome the ever-growing challenges of road infrastructure. The authentic document– AASHTO R-50 recognizes the improvement of this system. Tests are carried out on a full-scale Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT), which is required by AASHTO in order to be incorporated within pavement sections and to be validated for pavement designs.

POME provides a state-of-the-art solution to optimize pavement design for rural roads, major highways and trucks haul roads. Our system essentially increases the stiffness of the mechanically stabilized layer allowing this system to provide greater performance from the entire pavement structure which results in lower maintenance and materials costs and a reduction in the construction time.

The design of a flexible pavement to allow for reduction of thickness of layers (including asphalt layers) while maintaining the pavement life OR increasing the pavement life while maintaining its thickness OR combination of both.

System Applications

This system has been implemented in many projects within the Gulf region and has been adopted by Authorities in the UAE where they have recognized significant reduction in construction costs, improve the performance of flexible pavements, reduce carbon emissions, reduce waste and increase the life span of the pavement. POME also offers pavement design that incorporates our TriAxial geogrid and can be used for the following:

  • Rural Road Pavement Design
  • Haul Road Pavement Design
  • Highway Pavement Design

The Benefits of Our Systems

Our systems are engineered to provide value while meeting the design and project specifications. The following are the main benefits of our Geogrid inforced Pavement Optimisation System:

  • Reduced construction costs by up to 25% through the use of fewer materials and accelerating construction.
  • Increase pavement life by up to six times in comparison to a conventionally built pavement of the same thicknesses.
  • Reduced maintenance cost and improved performance of the pavement.
  • Reduction in the amount of material used, leading to a reduced carbon footprint.
  • Design is indemnified and based on AASHTO 93
